Jewellery

~ ANCIENT EGYPTIAN, PALE BLUE FAIENCE, SCARABOID AMULET BEAD, C 1000 BCE ~

A genuinely ancient, pale blue faience, scaraboid amulet bead. The amulet has been restrung,

with 5,000 year old grey and white Steatite beads from Syria, together with modern pink and black Rhodonite, and Amazonite beads.

The scaraboid has lost most of it's original colour, but faint hieroglyph impressions are still visible on the reverse.

The necklace measures approx. 46.5 cms (18 1/4") in length, the amulet is approx 8 mms (5/16") in length.

It is finished with solid sterling silver fittings. Insured postage and gift wrapping are included in the price.
