~ ANCIENT EGYPTIAN FAIENCE SCARAB AMULET c 1,000 BCE ~
A geniune ancient Egyptian scarab amulet, which has lost much of its glaze, but still retains its original hieroglyphs on the reverse.
Quite stable, unrestored, with no cracks or chips. An attractive scarab, c 1000 BCE. More detailed than appears in photographs.
The scarab, which measures approx. 7.5 mms. (1/4 inch) in length, is restrung on a necklace 43 cms (16 7/8 inches) in length.
The necklace also has 5,000 year old grey and white Steatite beads from Syria, and modern Pink Rhodonite beads.
It is strung on stainless steel jeweller's wire with solid sterling silver fittings.
Insured postage and gift wrapping are included in the price.
